Grayson Highlands

This 2013 photo demonstrates that I used to really push the saturation and contrast of all the photos I took, though I have more brazen examples. Now I often aim to producer a subtler effect when processing my work. However my history of intricately sculpted saturation and tinting mattes still manifests in my habits today.

As far as content is concerned, this horse portrait was taken at Grayson Highlands park in Virginia. The horses there are more or less locally infamous for hanging out along the official park trails and even begging visitors for food. As a subject, they are pretty well-documented. There's actually a small photo book you can buy with pictures of them. These horses are so familiar to regular visitors of the park that I know this particular horse probably has a name. I don't know it though.
